This package provides the "Very Secure FTP Daemon", written from the ground up with security in mind.

It supports both anonymous and non-anonymous FTP access, PAM authentication, bandwidth limiting, and the Linux sendfile() facility.

NOT "simple" for an average Mint user! First thing after installation is messing around with a cryptic error message and googling around for help forums and wondering about more messages from the terminal window. I don't mind to eventually become an expert with the terminal thing, but when I'm looking for something simple I expect more of an intuitive interface.

Great-simple program to set-up your own ftp-server. Then I use gFTP to graphically transfer files. Installed on all of my computers.
