""intuitive interface" is sheer nonsense. You'd have to figure out via google how to operate the thing. Those who did didn't appear impressed either."

"Working version again in Mint 11. Hope it's here to stay, fonts look better than in mmucl."
4
mmucl
"Good! Does work with Linux Mint 11. Very oldfashioned interface, fonts not perfect to the eye, nevertheless easy to use, configurable enough, with colours and history scrollback on up/down arrows."
4
filezilla
"Too bloated, too complicated. Though I do not like gftp much, it is a little easier to handle imho"

""If only irc was that easy to operate when it was all the rage." you name it. ah, the memories. well it is not TOO easy nowadays. I like it, works from the start thanks to default autoconnect to some linuxmint-supportchannel :)"

timer-applet
"Small, nice, fun to have"

file-browser-applet
"It's banal popup filebrowsing utility that should be available by default. Glad I found this at last, makes launching much easier. I depend on this parallel to gnome-do. Just the home item in the menue per default, so it will take up less space than the example picture suggests."

vlc
"Worth six stars ;)"
5
ttf-mscorefonts-installer
"Good to have"
4
cairo-dock
"Glitzy plaything, far from elegant. Configurable in many aspects, but not where I need it. Takes too much time to figure out a decent layout, templates are ugly, too. Cannot uninstall the first/main dock and create another one ins its place when I want to, must rather choose new theme and start from scratch.. Have to stick with Docky. Even awn is more tolerable than cairo."

pencil
"Nice"
4
gtodo
"Glad to have it, among the first things I install"
5
gwibber
"Hate it, sorry. I stick with Pidgin and Qwit."

vsftpd
"NOT "simple" for an average Mint user! First thing after installation is messing around with a cryptic error message and googling around for help forums and wondering about more messages from the terminal window. I don't mind to eventually become an expert with the terminal thing, but when I'm looking for something simple I expect more of an intuitive interface."
2
gnome-commander
"I do not care for this one, I like Nautilus a better. One thing I like better than in Nautilus: split view as a default."
3
bleachbit
"Äußerst nützlich. Very useful. Didn't feel it was slow."
5
guake
"Very handy! Unobtrusive. Appearance is highly configurable to fit an elegantl desktop, too."
5
gprename
"Not a beauty but does the job; meets my needs a bit better than pyrenamer."
4
pyrenamer
"Nice Interface; preview could be intelligenter; getting a bit slow in bigger directories"
3
docky
"very good. stable, good looking"
5
gnome-do
"Must have"
