Tried like 10 windows programs, only 1 worked. The best solution to run windows programs is definitely virtual box.
As of WINE 1.7 in Petra, it runs very well, from simple Windows programs to things like Orcad and Design CAD 3dmax, both of which are fairly large programs
The last Wine that worked was v1. All never versions have been crippled to support nothing. We need a custom build Wine, that can run it all by default!
i am very happy this exists, but it is only stable for rather simple programs like eMule
makes life better when your wife and four boys don't yet understand linux, but are love'n linux over that other os (windows).
i have tried it on mint 11 but it doesnt work.it had worked on julia but for katya i get a message tha the programs are not marked as executable bit.anyone help please
it does not work with all the software i'd like it to work with so that i could abandon windows altogether but it's fine enough and keeps majority of programs in at the very least usable state :)
