I wrote an extensive how to for setting up the SmartCard reader on my laptop. This card is also used by other computer manufacturers... ie Dell... so if you need it and are using LMDE... give it a try.
I was unable to get it working with LMDE 2.

He wrote a very long and extensive tutorial and shared it. The interface to post here is not exactly friendly and I doubt he could post this tutorial here without problems.
