Thank you that was helpful, especially the terminal uninstall
Hi! Thanks for the info. I am using Linux Mint 14 KDE version. When I right-clicked on the application on the menu, there is no Uninstall option. Nor do I have the Synaptics Package Manager. I tried using the Terminal to uninstall programs and messed up the system a few times. May I know how do I make the context menu display Uninstall? Thanks!

Probably a useful link for some users.
Would you mind to remove "<meta content="text/html; charset=utf-8" http-equiv="content-type" />" ?
This is not a tutorial but a web link to
"Help Site How To Help You Easy Linux Beginners Guide, Software Instructions"
I would think if you were referring to a link it should be the Users Manual for Mint Linux ie:
http://www.linuxmint.com/documentation.php and download "your language" .PDF
