hexedit "This is a command line program. Whoever added the picture of what is clearly a Windows program called HxD has a strange sense of humour. As to Hexedit itself, I'm not qualified to say, but it runs, and it shows hex code." |

supertransball2 "A nice little Thrust-type game, but opens in a tiny window that can't be resized. Use Alt-2, Alt-3, or Alt-4 to get a larger screen magnified 2x, 3x, or 4x. Alt-1 takes you back to the smallest size, and Alt-Return goes full-screen." |

fs-uae "For some reason, FS-UAE Launcher is missing from the repository in Linux Mint 22.x, but does show in 21.x. Using the generic Linux downloads on the program's website, the Launcher runs but does not start FS-UAE. Instead, install FS-UAE and the Launcher using the 4 command lines listed under the 'Ubuntu' link on the downloads page. Just check which Ubuntu version your version of Linux Mint is based on, and copy-paste the appropriate commands in one at a time. I'm on LM 22.1, which equates to Ubuntu 24.04. Installed this way, the launcher correctly starts FS-UAE." |

caveexpress "This is similar Space Taxi on the Commodore 64, and Ugh! on MS-DOS and the Amiga." |

xdms "Extracts .dms (diskmasher) format files into .adf files. Simple to use, and very quick. Example command line: xdms u disk.dms will extract the file disk.dms and create a file called disk.adf" |

maelstrom "Nice Asteroids game, I understand it was originally written for the Macintosh, and then ported to SDL. Hint: it runs in a small window, so use Alt-Return to run it full-screen." |
