| wine-installer "**ADVICE** For anyone who is confused on why the install didn't work, or is getting WINE 4.0 instead. First go to WINEHQ and follow the UBUNTU method of install (Mint is also noted in the Ubuntu method) make sure to get the correct sources for your version of Mint. Follow the instructions and install stable as recommended or developer if you want newer features (I personally use developer branch) then in a terminal run " sudo winecfg " Install MONO when asked and I recommended changing Windows support to 10 (So newer python programmes will behave). Then install this application and viola, you now have the latest WINE and have the compatibility layer in your app menu!" |
