I am Laboratory Technician at the University of Missouri.  I had a lot of old "found" hardware that was discarded but working.  Windows did not work anymore.  I heard that Linux could work on older slower hardware, so I began trying different distributions.  None worked as well as Linux Mint, so I stuck with it.  I now have it running on three different machines.

I am a complete novice to Linux, so the easier and more user friendly it is, the more likely I am to use it!
