Installed Mint Ed. 12 64bit KDE on an USB toshiba 250GB 1,8" HD and works perfect with my ACER Aspire 4820TG. Was not easy to install the bootloader on the HD but finally managed.
The desktop and useability is very appealing and better than everything I know.
