Retired. Ten years programming IBM mainframes (JCL, ASM, COBOL, VSAM, DB2) for Occidental Life Insurance (now Transamerica Life). 23 years system consulting for those same IBM mainframes via my C-Corp D.P.People Inc.
Started using linux in 2000 and had to keep using windows (linux wasn't ready for the desktop yet). Switched full time to linux in 2003 with Caldera, Mandrake, PCLinuxOS, Ubuntu and Mint. Like Ubuntu alot until it went to the unity interface. Switched to Mint and happy ever since.
Like to read, woodwork, gardening, hiking, writing, astrology (and astronomy) and financial research.
