I use to be a PC guy, and now my Mac Laptop died! It's better than a PC but soemthings I never learned after about three years.

: ..I never really learned how to find all my files on the Mac!!  Fearfull (usually) to use terminal.

Built my ow computer from scratch and even bought Windows 7 (Pro) and its in a box somewhere (never installed).

Seeking guidance, I think I do not even this system has HTML 5, for this system I built maybe three years ago. Never used it because always used the Macbook instead.

I have two more dead or dying PC's laptops,..with software and files. I have a CD/DVD:

tsstcorp cddvdw Sh-S223L that recognizes DVD w/programs but will not allow me to write to Verbatim Disks (4.7GB) with Brasero Disc Burner.

I have Unbuntu 10.10 and am fearful to lose everything I so far gained, to upgrade with making Unbuntu work for the first Bios struggle. I heard about Mint for  making a backup...Any Ideas, suggestions advice is apprciated! Thanks!
