I've been doing this for decades. I'm old, crusty and set in my ways but still venture forth to test new distros and help where I can. I've been using Linux since it was a floppy disk affair (jumping in somewhere around '92) and can tell you it's come a long way. I can code in several languages and used to develop as a profession. Now retired, these days I spend my time hacking stuff a part.
I use Arch Linux for my daily 'go-to' distro as I test the others. Seen a lot them come and go over the years. Either way, it's still a lot of fun.
