Best high level language for newbs, but great for everyone else too! I love how simple the syntax is and the huge number of libs/modules available from PyGame to Urllib and SciPy... fantastic language!

Python is too important not to have more reviews. Using it with Matplotlib and Scipy instead of MATLAB.

More fun than people should be allowed to have. I came to programming late in life, but now hardly a day goes by without a little Python scripting to fix or automate something. Great first language to get a grasp on fundamentals, before you try a language that's less forgiving.
