Works as it should although I'm looking to switch to Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) though since it's open source and designed specifically for modern Linux operating systems.
Virtualbox is awesome. Download the latest version from their website, this is so outdated.
If you want to use/test other operating systems in a safe way, Virtualbox is a good option.
VirtualBox + Windows 7 (with some tweaks to make windows more lightweight) is way better than using wine. However, needs to be updated, I'm using the original version since it's 4.3.24 and this is 3.1
As a software, I like it. Works fine with a Windows host for Debian, Arch and Ubuntu. BUT I've been unable to run Linux Mint as the screen gets stuck at the boot screen. Ditto for Bodhi. And I find it irritating that fullscreen mode doesn't work without installing guest additions, which in itself consumes a good 5-10 minutes.
Could certainly be very useful if you need to run another OS whist still having access to any programs otherwise I personal prefer a dual boot
VirtualBox for me is the most powerful pc virtualization software. Very stable and powerfull
Everytime I try to load it in Mint 14, I get "Virtualbox is virtual" and a close button.
