"Vector and bitmap masks with 30 use modes, tons of powerful tools. In theory - no need to use any other software, from pressing the shutter button to client-ready JPG. But DT is made "by amateur-photographing super-programmers for amateur-photographing programmers", not for photographers. Modules are still grouped and ordered ANTI-WORKFLOW. And developers still say "the modules order in UI reflects image-processing order". Another feature that makes DT even-more-useless is the need to "import" every single photo into program's database. I have /home/user/photos directory with 100 CR2 files (plus sub-directories containing another 1000s CR2 files) but DT only sees 5 of them and doesn't see subdirectories. Why? Because I haven't "imported" remaining 95 files (+ subdirs, separately) into folder that already contains them. Facepalm... For version 3, as for all before, still 5 stars for functions but still zero stars for usability. Another time I go back to much less feature-packed but usable RawTherapee."
