| io.liri.Calculator "I install Liri Calculator on every Linux system I use because it does something that no other calculator (I've found yet) does...it displays a rolling total of your calculations as you type. I'm sure there's a proper term for that display function, but I don't know what it is. I first ran into that on an Android calculator app called Calcu several years ago, and I really like it because you never really have to hit the "=" key. You always see your total as you type. This alone earned it the five-star, and if there was a reason for me to drop my rating it would be that Liri Calculator is only available as a flatpak, when the actual app is very, very small. The developers only package it for Arch and Fedora though, with no deb package available. I'm a middling Linux user with a lot of disk space, so I don't build the package. I just install the flatpak, but the huge size is a downvote." |

| audacity "I installed this a while back because of the long history of great reviews. Woke up this morning to really bad news so it's uninstalled before I ever even used it. I REALLY hope enough people review negatively to wake the owners up to the fact that they're in the wrong software community for this sort of garbage. Now I'm going with ocenaudio as per another user's recommendation." |
