| audacity "Under dual boot Linux Mint 16 with Cinnamon, it randomly stops recording after 2-6 minutes while attempting to capture LP recordings from a USB turntable. Attempts to remove pulseaudio, to use ALSA exclusively, caused Mint login to break with 'unable to find cinnamon-screensaver', making the OS inoperable. Using the same Audacity setup with Win XP on other partition worked perfectly. Very disappointed in Linux for this application. " |
