I use it always to edit records from my sat-receiver. Remove advertisement and cut start and end of the record to put the records "clean" to my archive.
I've used Avidemux GTK for years, and have loved how easy it was to use. However, if you have upgraded to Mint 19.3, don't even bother to install this. It has a QT interface, but bleats about missing codecs, and on my setup will not open any video. If I can get hold of a copy of v2.5.4 GTK+ I would be more than happy. Any suggestions as to how I could do this?
Perfect tool, not "unusable" or "confusing" as some say: it's the only that can cut your video without re-encoding! It saves your cutted video in seconds. It also can extract the sound from any youtube video you have download. But you have to download also the plugins package, in order to work correctly with the sound.
unuseable...avi format read very badly/not read at all...disapointing....
такой удобный редактор и такие бока со звуком. Замучал. Звук работает неадекватно!
The version in the repository is 2.5.4 from 2010. To get 2.6.8 sudo add-apt-repository ppa:rebuntu16/avidemux+unofficial sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install avidemux2.6-gtk avidemux2.6-qt4
Swietny edytor! Jesli cos nie chodzi na kinie domowym lub telefonie, zmiana kontenera lub edycja audio i wszystko gra
Lots of great options and highly configurable but parts of it are not all that user-friendly. Overall, though, it's terrific.
