md.obsidian.Obsidian
"Obsidian has vastly improved my ability to keep track of all sorts of information, research, writing, code, records and more! It is very well-implemented, stable and powerful. To synchronize across devices, it is well worth paying for the Obsidian Sync subscription, $4/month (yearly), to avoid record collisions. For collaboration with multiple people, you may be better off with Joplin and Joplin Server."

shutter
"As a refugee from M$ Windows, I am so glad to find Shutter as a Greenshot and Snagit alternative! Shutter has exactly the editing features I need to annotate both new and existing screenshots and images."

libreoffice-writer
"Fantastic replacement for MS Word! LibreOffice Writer is great for writing anything: white papers, memos, manuals, books, you name it! I am so glad it is automatically included in Linux Mint!"

io.unobserved.espansoGUI
"For simple text expansion pairs - an abbreviation (trigger) and the longer text, espansoGUI works very well. It makes it easy to add a new entry. That's important for collecting an increasing number of abbreviations as you go. WARNING: Don't add this GUI if you want to add any more powerful triggers, such as making a trigger sensitive to upper and lower case. espansoGUI will delete everything you add other than Trigger and Replace lines! Expanso itself is wonderful - 5 stars! You do have the edit the base.yml file to add entries using just Expanso."
