I've used several distributions on my main machines including Linux Mint, Ubuntu, Arch Linux, and Fedora.

Originally started using GNU/Linux using a flash drive with Ubuntu 10.10. It was a great release and I liked it a lot. When 11.04 (with Unity) came out, I started looking for a different distribution. I saw a lot of support for Linux Mint, so I decided to try it out (v. 11). When I saw how great Linux Mint 11 was, I installed it through Mint4Win a week befor Linux Mint 12 came out. When it did, I completed my first full Linux installation. I love and loved it and installed Cinnamon starting with v. 1.2 and have since upgraded to v 1.4 (latest version). I use Linux Mint 12 with Cinnamon version 1.4 as my primary operating system, with Windows 7 Starter as a secondary operating system, which I boot into twice a month to update my unused programs. I have also set up working installs with LM LXDE, KDE, and Gnome. I have also set up a working (with Gnome) Arch Linux distribution under VirtualBox.
I am a major tech geek and computers are my life. I am a high school student who loves Linux and absolutely hates Apple. I spend my time on my computer programming (mostly Java), looking at tech news (Linux, computer and computer hardware, etc), and researching various topics. I have been running 100% GNU/Linux (not dependent on Windows) for about 6 months now and I hope to continue.a great release and I liked it a lot. "Works fine. GUI interface is slightly annoying, but the command line tool rocks (Minitube is the GUI version). Love it!"

rhythmbox
"Is what I use to play my music. I like it better than Banshee because I have had library issues and duplicate entries for music that is on a separate partition. The cross-fading is excellent and I love this music organizer and player. It works great and plays the music that I need to play. Seems to be a tad simpler than Banshee, although the support for album artwork is questionable."

"I love VLC Media Player. I use it on Linux and Windows. VLC only has one missing feature : there are no library options if you want to browse and organize a music collection. Of course, there is always Rhythmbox for that."

"Love Google Chrome. It saves all my passwords, is fast, and is amazing"

"I like Chromium (Google Chrome) better, but it is better than any other browser other than Chromium or Google Chrome"
