Falkon is a new and very fast Qt Webengine browser. It aims to be a lightweight web browser available through all major platforms.

Falkon has all standard functions you expect from a web browser. It includes bookmarks, history (both also in sidebar) and tabs. Above that, you can manage RSS feeds with an included RSS reader, block ads with a builtin AdBlock plugin, block Flash content with Click2Flash and edit the local CA Certificates database with an SSL Manager.

Password manager only allows 1 entry when used with LM21.1, other wise works. Removed Falcom, went back to Firefox.

I use this to isolate (as much as possible) Google apps from my regular browsing, and it works great: fast loading.

This is my go-to, just need to check something browser on my desktop! The equivalent to the duckduckgo browser on my tablet. It's sooo fast, almost every site seems to work, and the out-of-the box spam protection setting per AdBlock add-on is working flawlessly (I'm in the US, results likely vary, but you can add block lists). Two neat things are the zoom slider, instead of the typical %-buttons, and the quick button to load or not load images, either for a while, everywhere or just on that page. Nice. Sometimes simple is perfect. Don't get me wrong: this is a fully functioniong browser, with password manager, cookie management (incl. whitelisting), spell-check, etc. Oh, and a user agent changer (though the options could be more up-to-date).

I like it but some pages won't work propelly, like loading some pictures on pages, and i haven't found way to get the pictures show up. I know at least couple of main stream/official pages which won't work propelly with the browser.

After having evaluated loads of lightweight browsers, Falkon came out as my favorite. Ease of use, lightweight and AdBlock brings you far.

I like its simplicity, but it still needs some work. Occasionally it won't display pages. eg some of the stories in www.axios.com.

I was looking for another alternative browser, because my Dutch banking doesn't operate any longer. It's using top of the line (javascript?)) feature details. Chrome works, Pale Moon & Waterfox not. Using Software Manager, I saw a high user review score (4.2). I gave Falkon a try. To my surprise, It does this critical banking! Further I second the more recent opinions: Simple, quite quick, good settings. Even javacript can be toggled on or off. Alas only via the settings menu.

Found this when I needed a lightweight browser for an OLD toughbook. It was the browser that ran the best of all I tried. I like it so much I have put it on my new laptop.

Don't bother with this one. It doesn't even have a menu bar! *UPDATE*: There is now a menu bar, some major changes have been added, MUCH better now!

Даже на старых машинах, где фаерфокс и прочие не тянут, фалькон справляется с видеоконтентом ютубов и прочих сервисов.

I loved it.. I think it is next to pefect... but when visiting youtube.com, I couldn't sign in cause their system determined that this was an OLD version of google browser... not secure anymore...

I'm so sorry about this...
