I still use it in 2021 for some work contacts, I appreciate it's available on Linux
Still usefull to videocall my grandparents :)
I like it, but i agree with others. Discord is a must have today.
Outdated, I'll use discord & whatsapp instead
I prefer Discord, but I have some contacts that still use Skype, and it's nice to have it on linux to be able to keep touch with them.
Skype is really good, but I think Discord, which is also on Linux is really great. It's amazing how much you can do with it.
Outdated, more frequent updates would be nice.
Works well for communication
Was good until Discord appear. Now Skype looks slow compare to others.
Lacks some of the eyecandy of the Windows version but support still there and a multiplatform application. Good on Microsoft for continuing to support OSs other than Windows.
good soft for communication
MS are looking to the future. Skype 4 cognitive 2 year olds - can't call, cant save numbers but can chat til the milk lady comes back. MS are telling you all something.
Works fine, but as 1 July 2017, Skype will not accept versions 4.3 (current version at this time) or earlier.
beveik kaip win
Работает нормально, расстраивает невозможность отправлять файлы в чате
Using this only for screensharing, but Ghetto Skype is better for chatting and calling.
There are some bugs but it does work to call others but some newer implementations of skype does not work.
It works good enough but it's outdated. There is a glitch where if you receive a call you can't close the notification pop-up without closing the video window with no way to get it back without ending the call and starting a new one. A new version is coming out at some point, but the new version has been in Alpha since July 2016 (it's February 2017 as I write this). Still, highly recommended if you need Skype under Linux. Just don't expect a version as highly polished as the Windows version.
After microsoft purchased skype, quality is going down...
