I have used Linux many years now. At first I was not sure how it compared to proprietary software.

I am sure now. Linux is superior in almost every way.

I do not understand why anyone would spend money on Apple or Microsoft, except out of laziness or ignorance.

Software Score
calibre
"Without doubt, one of the best software programs available. The one that created this and maintains this is a hero!"

marble
"Great free alternative to Google Earth. Now we just need a free alternative to Google."
4
vlc
"I remember when it was kind of buggy, but it was still the best of its kind. Latelely I have gravitated to mpv for its simplicity and functionality. VLC might succeed better with better manuals and instructions-- or if internet broadcasters would settle on more universal standards."
4
fluxbox
"Fluxbox will not fail you! It works and you can make it your own! What else does one want?"
5
moon-buggy
"Let the gamers gravitate to windoze-- Moon-buggy is all the games I need in Linux!"

etoys
"Can't do without squeak etoys! It is fun if nothing else."

xdaliclock
"Great as a screensaver: use man to adjust to fullscreen."

firefox
"It is getting slightly better recently. It updates too often and spoils settings. "

dillo
"It is fast and clutter free! Great second browser."
