| barrier "Useful and does the job. Just be prepared and save often on anything you work on becuse at some point Barrier will take a walk and take all the inputs with it. No way to restart short of forcing the computer to shutdown by holding down the power button until the system shuts down. No keyboard, no mouse, even the options pressing the power button would normally give you all get disabled/broken, same results either way, with no options otherwise you have to go the hard restart route." |

| font-manager "Works well enough for what it is... should have a proper name not just "font manager" though because looking up any help onlline is near impossiable. Needs a option to install fonts for all users as well. Fonts that have an apostrophe in the name that is embedded in the font can be a problem, cannot disable them, filed a issue with the creators page on github. Suspect it is a case of the font author using the apostrophe when they should not have though and not the the fault of the software." |

| org.videolan.VLC "I like VLC so giving it a good score.. .need a section for scoring technicalities though. Had to uninstall the flatpak version, it ran as administrator by default and asked for username and password multiple times, every time I tried to play a movie that was being hosted by SMB. Uninstall and went with the system version, no problems at all. Linux Mint 21.2 64bit VLC 3.0.18 from the flatpak, from the system VLC is 3.0.16-1Build7 and now it works just fine. Oh and all the installations and uninstalling were handedled by the "Software Mnager" just in case that matters." |

| com.makemkv.MakeMKV "Installed it a couple of weeks ago used it a couple of times with varying degrees of success, looked promising though for emergency situations when handbrak fails but not sure... was going to give it another try today as I have more time and now it says to go purchase a key. Oh Well. It says the software is out of date to upgrade so trying that route. Will update if it works for me." |
