sublime-text
"I use Sublime everywhere else, works great on 22.1. It isn't that you *need* to purchase it unless you're a commercial business. Hobbyists are just fine to use for free."

kolourpaint
"As others say, perfect MS Paint alternative. A little finicky in some ways (resizing canvas is a little unintuitive), but allows me to do what I did in Paint: append images to each other, do basic markdown, etc... I prefer it over the default tools provided in Linux Mint. Runs great on Mint 22.1."

hplip-gui
"What a nightmare. What an absolute nightmare. Does not work on Mint 22.1. Impossible to figure out a working alternative, though I believe Mint installs come with its CLI variant at start, which works alright if you're comfortable using CLI (which, if you're using linux, you either are or you can tolerate it)."

nicotine
"I prefer this over the Windows flavor. It's not the same UI, which can be a turn-off, but I don't mind it so much since it matches my desktop theme. Works OOB on 22.1."

discord
"it's Discord. Having audio issues on Mint 22.1; sometimes an application's audio will not stream, and I find that my audio becomes buzzy and noisy when I *do* stream. I switched to Vencord instead which fixed those issues and then some."

com.obsproject.Studio
"Works fine on Mint 22.1 with no real issues. Haven't encountered any crashes or errors yet! "

fr.handbrake.ghb
"I honestly swear by this program. Compresses quickly and has so many toggles, which may not be entirely helpful for new users, but very nice if you manage a lot of different videos, or if you want to compress something to send over a service that has an upload size limit (ie Discord)."

org.keepassxc.KeePassXC
"Have used this for a handful of years now with no issues. Easy to back up to a flash drive (et al) and easy to manage passwords in bulk. It even has *tags*! No issues so far in Mint Cinnamon 22.1."
5
org.libretro.RetroArch
"Works as intended, identical to the Windows builds as far as I can tell. The size is still pretty huge, but it's an emulator, sooooo.."

org.strawberrymusicplayer.strawberry
"Interface can be confusing sometimes and there's no good way to customize the color scheme on Mint 22.1 by default. Otherwise pretty stellar, I like that you can have the album art in the BG."

org.prismlauncher.PrismLauncher
"I owe you a life debt. This launcher works well and I love using it; making instances and managing mods isn't a headache at all."
5
one.ablaze.floorp
"I like floorp a lot, coming from Firefox after years of usage as a casual user."
5
kronometer
"Simple, straightforward, easy to start/stop, works well on Linux Mint Cinnamon 22.1."
