inkscape "I love using Inkscape; highly recommended alternative to Illustrator. But the Flatpak version is better than this one; you can't multi-select pages in this version when exporting to PDF. Also, as of this writing, the same bug for making mesh gradients for strokes is prevalent in both versions, so no real benefits using APT (far as I know)."

org.inkscape.Inkscape "I love using Inkscape; I use it all the time for vector drawing even before I made the move to Linux. There is a bug at the time of this writing: mesh gradients don't work on strokes; they tend to misalign or load incorrectly. I had to work around it with conventional gradients. Still highly recommended; good alternative to Adobe Illustrator, and Flatpak version has better features than APT."

maelstrom "MY CHILDHOOD! This was one of my first games on Macintosh Performa. Finding it on Linux was, to put it mildly, a pleasant surprise."

steam-installer "I got frustrated trying to get it to run; didn't know you needed the dpkg command listed above. Used the direct download instead."

com.heroicgameslauncher.hgl "Made the move from 11 to LM in 2025. Heroic works flawlessly compared to the GOG Galaxy app, linking games to Steam is a piece of cake, and the built-in Winetricks is a godsend. One or two of my games are borked, but that's a Windows-to-Linux issue, not an interface issue."
