aeskulap "A bit thin on features but it works pretty well" |

gimp "This app is great, the only things missing are support for metadata and for 16+ bit files." |
5 |
rawstudio "It is quick and easy to use, but the noise reduction is terrible. The patchy, cross hatched thing in the shadows is unusable and the noise is difficult to remove in GIMP if you opt to do it then. An ap is only as good as the results it produces." |

digikam "This is the best asset management app for linux, from keywording to resizing and watermarking, this app does an excellent job. It's editing functions are so so at best though." |

darktable "Version 1.6 is a vast improvement over previous versions and is now useable. However it still lacks some of the fine control that RawTherapee has and the iterface is a bit fiddly. It is more stable than rawtherapee, but the noise removal just isn't as good." |

rawtherapee "It is a powerful app capable of producing excellent results. The noise removal tool is impressive and the film emulation tool saves a lot of time. It also integrates well with GIMP. However, the lack of stability translates to wasted time restarting and picking up where you left off instead of just getting things done. Addressing this issue would drastically improve efficiency and the result would offer a serious linux based alternative to Adobe Lr." |
