wicd "wicd worked like a charm when Network Manager, the default wirless app for Mint 10 KDE kept nagging for "secret for.." password prompts with and without kwallet and other forum suggestions. Also, I thought my video streaming problem was with Flash but no wicd clearned up that god awful buffering situation too. Thanks for making Linux wifi accessible for newbies like me wicd maintaners." |

koffice "a refreshing alternative between MS Office style bloat and Google Docs. Nice to keep Libre Office around to convert to userland formats. I'm looking forward to watching for developments from the Calligra team. My phone runs Maemo and I was looking forward to MeeGo with Calligra and Kontact sync someday but now I'm stuck using Android for mobile and concerned for the future of open source in a mobile world." |

miro "Nice app! Now that I'm in Japan with a regular ISP package 100 Mbs d/l & 100 Mbs u/l with no badwidth cap I can use it without 1000%+ markup on Gbs charged to my countrymen in Canada. If you live in a country with draconian ISP bandwidth caps you have to be careful not to increase your bill with downloading vidoes with Miro. That said it's a great project and they even have an easy way for you to setup a video website" |
