gwibber
"I'm not sure this should be included by default in Linux Mint but it sure looks like many people feel it's useless. It is the same to me. I'll uninstall it right after I send my review."

playonlinux
"Great! This is more than a front-end for wine. It's a great help for installing a lot of games that would normally require tinkering with wine parameters or install additional Windows software/dependencies. If it would be simpler than it is, it would be perfect! ;)"
4
supertuxkart
"This is fun. :) Some characters have texture issues on some cards/drivers but the game is still a lot of fun. I played it with my nephew and we both loved it. :D"
4
gimp-plugin-registry
"Great plugin pack. This should come as default with GIMP. :)"
5
gcompris
"Great software for kids and parents! :) Many thanks to the developers and translators."
5
poedit
"I wish it would be easier to use, but other than that it's great! :)"
4
geany-plugins
"These plugins are great! :)"
5
convertall
"Thanks a lot! :) It's a great tool. :)"
5
radiotray
"Great radio app. I like it's light on resources and it has a very simple interface. :) The middle-click on the apps' icon is an excellent feature. :) It only needs a little bit of polish with the status and it's perfect."
4
minitube
"Version 1.5-1 works for me. The only issue I found so far is download management. If you accidentally download a video in whatever resolution you can't redownload it because Minitube will remember it has already downloaded it and won't download it again. Close the program and start it again to be able to download again. And delete the unwanted version of the video while at it."
4
freealchemist
"Very nice game! :)"
4
glchess
":) This game is quite nice. It's not as easy as it should in "easy" mode and it would be nice if it had 5 difficulty modes (beginner, easy, experienced, advanced, expert), but those experienced enough will certainly have fun. I beat it on easy but I didn't try really hard to be very careful about each move and I used undo a couple of times. :) So those who are beginners should simply use undo when necessary. It's enough that the game allows you to do that so you can learn from your mistakes and simply move on through the game."
4
gnome-commander
"I really like it. It resembles both Norton Commander and Midnight Commander but as a graphical tool is more advanced. Hopefully it will be bug-free in the near future. (v1.2.8.13 crashes when I click the Remote Server button)"
4
terminator
"It's not intuitive but someone used to working on multiple remote shells for maintenance will learn how to benefit of the "terminator" features in less than 5 minutes and will love this tool. :) I just discovered it and I already love it. :)"
5
guake
"I like it! :) The bug that bugged me before is now fixed. :)"
4
mintmenu
"I love MintMenu! But I'm not willing to give it 5 stars just yet simply because of the scrolling issue I keep having since years now. Dragging the scroll bar with the mouse won't work if you get out of the scroll area, which make it a bit difficult to scroll by mouse if you don't have a wheel or if it doesn't work (properly). But I do recommend this menu to anyone. I wish we had it in KDE, XFCE, LXDE and Fluxbox as well. It's really that good, plus it constantly gets improved. :) Thank you, Mint developers!"
4
zaz
"I like it but the mouse movement in the second level is so messed up I can't finish it in time. It just doesn't move natural. :|"
4
gnome-sudoku
"An UI improvement will make this game an excellent one. :) It's already great. :)"
4
frozen-bubble
":) I love this game. The music is nice, the colors are sweet, the overall mood is very pleasant and the game is simple. It just gets harder after 70 levels, where I crashed and burned. That's where I missed the save game feature. :P"
5
worldofgoodemo
"OK, I finally tried it and I had some fun with it. Very well developed. :) Congratulations and good luck to the creator(s)! :)"
4
supertux
"I like this game. :) Too bad it's not updated fast enough but it's still a lot of fun. :) I wish some new developers would give a hand at fixing the bugs and maybe add new levels."
4
goldendict
"WOW! Very easy to use, light, simple interface... I'm impressed. :) I love it!"
5
gnumeric
"This is not as featured as LibreOffice but it takes a fraction of disk space and it onyl needs few resources to function properly. Defenitely a good choice for anyone who doesn't need every tiny feature in more developed Office suites."
4
tuxtype
"Tuxtype evolved quite a lot during the past few years. I'm impressed. Although a better in-game experience would be welcome, it still has its charm and it works. The UI should also be improved but it's not bad and I feel like I can't thank enough the developers for doing such an outstanding job."
4
acroread
"It's a good reader and prints very well. Still, it's overly bloated. It's just too much for a reader but at least it can natively handle all PDF features."
3
virtualbox-nonfree
"I love it! Sure it can get better in various ways, but it's still very mature and a great software for testing various operating systems without installing them traditionally, directly on your PC. innotek, Sun, Oracle, THANK YOU!"
5
libreoffice
"LibreOffice is now better than OpenOffice, which is great, although it still needs improvement. As a side note, I have it installed in Linux Mint 12 but this package doesn't show as installed in Software Manager. Strange."
4
dropbox
"I love it! :) I use Dropbox on an auto-mountable NTFS partition so I can have my files available in both Dropbox for Linux and Windows. Kind of cool. :D Of course, this is not what it's meant for but it extends its greatness."
5
miro
"This is a weird mix of Vuze and iTunes. Might be great for some people, but thankfully there's better software than this because Miro seriously needs to evolve into something better."
2
vuze
"This is an interesting piece of software. When Azureus faded away and Vuze came out I was blown away. Now I use Deluge and uTorrent for regular torrenting but this is great for multimedia. :)"
4
sun-java6-plugin
"I find it strage that if installed this plugin requires the removal of mint-meta-gnome-dvd."
4
amarok
"I like Amarok because it really shows how much work was put into it. That's also part of the issue with it lately, because it got increasingly complex and some people will consider that a draw-back. However, we must give credit to the developers and trust they will tweak this program until it will please more people. :)."
4
scribus
"I like Scribus for its purpose but I wish it was easier to use. My wife ended up using Microsoft Publisher and I can't blame her - the Scribus UI needs some careful improvements so the learning curve and usability doesn't stand in the way of new comers."
4
xchat
"Great! :) Sometimes I prefer a web IRC client but this is much better because you can also manage authentication and history. :)"
5
avant-window-navigator
"Whoever likes eye-candy and simplicity will love this. My problem is I'm way too accustomed with the standard gnome panel and using it plus AWN would take too much room vertically. Still, people should give it a try. :)"
4
k3b
"This is a great CD/DVD burning software. Too bad it has so many dependencies on KDE because I'd like to use it under Gnome without bloating it with KDE stuff."
5
audacity
"I used Audacity to create ringtones for my cellphone. I edit audio extremely rarely but I could use this software quite easily. Thanks! :) I wish the project would have more active developers."
4
libavformat-extra-53
"Good! With this package OpenShot successfully converted my 3gp videos in mpeg."
4
remmina
"Very good application and more polish will make it excellent. :) Many thanks to the developers!"
4
gnome-games
"This is a very nice games collection. It doesn't even matter they're not the most wonderful games out there. They are simply a good distraction when you need one. :P"
4
lbreakout2
":) One of the first games I played was the breakout sample in Turbo Pascal 7.0. Back then I felt that was an awesome game. I know this is a simple game and there are breakout-type games much more interesting than this, but it's still a lot of fun and I enjoy it every time I play it. :)"
4
mintbackup
"Although this is a very good tool, it still needs some serious polishing. Sure, it would be awesome if you could schedule file backups, database exports or even allow remote management, simpler things would also be welcome. Backing up the home folder is cool but with so many hidden folder it would be nice if we could have multiple options wheter we want to restore/ignore the hidden folders and based on that option to specify the exception(s). This two-step feature for hidden folders would make it much easier to backup/restore exactly what is needed. The main issue with restoring bulk hidden folders is replacing newly installed files with old settings when the user doesn't want that. Anyway, I'll eagerly wait newer version of this tool. :)"
4
virtualbox-ose
"For non-professional environments this is perfect. :) I didn't even feel the need to try anything else than VirtualBox after I discovered it. :)"
4
f-spot
"I have mixed feelings about F-Spot. I heard good things about it and I'm sure those people were not lying but I tried to use it and I can't say I like it. Maybe if it was intuitive I would've explored more of it but I just abandoned it."
3
thunderbird
"There are a lot of things I like about Thunderbird. If there's one thing I really miss in it, that's better profile management. Making it easier to migrate a profile to another location/directory/partition would make it pretty close to perfect for me. :)"
4
googleearth
"I like Google Earth but depending on an internet connection is sometimes not nice. I would certainly like using it offline at least for some specific point-to-point directions or delimited areas. That would be great."
4
gparted
"Life is just better with such tools. :) I can't thank enough its' developers. Excellent work! BACKUP! It's not a perfectc tool."
5
gdebi
"Great! :)"
4
gnome-do
"I'm glad this isn't installed by default in Linux Mint. I"
2
gimp
"My only wish for GMIP is a better user interface - more modern, more intuitive."
4
pidgin
"I like Pidgin but I really miss decent file transfers for Yahoo and audio/video as well."
4
wine
"Thanks to wine I can run some Windows software that I sometimes need, games included. It's not perfect but I'm giving it 5 stars because it's simply that good."
5
filezilla
"Sweet! :) I'm an old FileZilla user and having it in Linux made my life much easier. :) I highly recommend it. Many thanks to the developers!"
5
deluge
"I started using Deluge because it offers almost everything I was used to with uTorrent. With a few more touches here and there it will be an excellent BitTorrent client."
4
skype
"I like Skype for Linux but I miss some functionality already implemented in Windows, such as drag&drop; file transfer and other minor things that translate as better user experience."
4
picasa
":) Picasa is a great photo manage and editor. The only thing I dislike about it is the HUGE databases it creates."
4
geany
"Excellent editor! I also found that "missing" option to highlight all words as the one selected. Now I have a great Notepad++ replacement in Linux."
4
visual-regexp
"I have mixed feelings about this software. It's good in theory but it's interface is not friendly enough. You can't even paste in it. I have no idea why but that doesn't help me. Otherwise it's OK."
3
inkscape
"What I like most about InkScape is you don't have to be a professional to be able to use it but still manage to do something very nice. On top of that, it's open source and actively developed so I wish the developers all the best. Thank you!"
4
tvtime
"Excellent TV viewer for analog tv tuners. If it would be able to play nice with PulseAudio it would be perfect. :P"
5
tuxpaint
"Excellent for kids. :) I hope more children will benefit from this kind of software."
5
stellarium
"Very good piece of software. Many thanks to the developers. :)"
5
multiget
"I like it, but it still has some bugs and the application is currently not maintained anylonger. I hope someone will continue fixing and improving this application. I only used it for HTTP downloads and this works well."
4
gtk-recordmydesktop
"Excellent! :)"
5
fillets-ng
"Yup, I like this game. I wish it had slightly better graphics."
4
chromium
"I like it, but Firefox still has better add-ons that keep me with that browser. Chrome still needs work."
4
rhythmbox
"I like it, but as an old Winamp user I'm still looking for an application similar to the old XMMS. I'm more into lighter user interfaces that just play my stuff and sit tightly in the system tray while I enjoy my work. Rhythmbox is not light at all but at least it's good."
4
gnome-mahjongg
"Oh yeah! I love it! :) I played it for months, nearly every day at least a few times. :D"
5
mintinstall
"The new mintinstall in Linux Mint 9 is very nice. It got to be so easy to use I had the feeling I should open a terminal and install my software with apt-get just to have the feeling it's done. Kind of funny, but it really is very easy. Still, there's room for improvement so I gave it four stars. :)"
4
lazarus
"Excellent alternative to Delphi and it's still maintained so there's progress on the way."
4
virtualbox-3.1
"Great software for OS testing! :)"
5
glest
"The game looks promising but it still needs work."
3
teeworlds
"Brilliant game! :D First of all, it's very funny and addictive. Second, due to previous reasons, your fingers will hurt! :)) The funny little characters in this multiplayer game that one can join with the gang makes Teeworlds a funny and social game. If it wouldn't hurt... :P"
5
chromium-bsu
"This is a very nice game. I remember I tried playing it about 8 years ago and my system was just not enough. It was actually needing a better video card but as was a casual gamer I suffered a bit. Anyway, very nice game. I like the graphics, the sounds and the fact that the ship and enemies are original. :)"
4
blockout2
"Wow! Very good replica of the old DOS game. It feels a bit strange compared to most of the games today but it's still a good distraction and mental challenging."
4
vlc
"I like it but I found that versions 1.0.3 and above have a bug that leads to no image at all on certain videos/codecs, although the sound is working. Thank God for the default theme change. The player finally looks complete."
4
opera
"Excellent browser! I do however miss the great web developer tools available for Firefox. Dragonfly still needs development."
4
firefox
"Two things I don't like about Firefox: startup time and memory management. Except for that, I LOVE IT!"
4
nexuiz
"Nexuiz has gone a long way and it looks great so far. Now that Illfonic jumped into the picture, I hopefully expect that the game will benefit from this partnership. I only wish the models would look better. Hence my rating."
4
openoffice.org
"It could be faster and more compatible with Microsoft Office but it's outstanding considering it's free. However, I gave it 4 because I still have expectations from it. :)"
